Pilling wool and cashmere is a natural process. This is due to the specific chemistry of natural fibers. Pilling occurs most often in places particularly exposed to rubbing. It is easy to get rid of matted balls with a special comb for combing wool or a clothes shaver. If knots appear on a wool sweater, it must be sharpened with a wool machine and washed, repeating the whole procedure - wearing, cutting, washing - until the surface of the wool becomes smooth.

Dry cleaning your wool all the time is not recommended.

You can hand wash the sweater as well, but make sure you use a gentle detergent for wool and water less than 30°C.

Turn the sweater inside out before washing.

Dip the garment in the water and squeeze it gently.

Do not wring or stretch the garment to avoid damaging the fabric.

You can soak clothes for up to 30 minutes if needed. Then rinse the clothes thoroughly in clean water, but carefully. After washing, lay the damp sweater on a towel to dry.

To speed up drying, you can roll it up with a towel.

When rolling, press gently to remove water.

After unrolling, straighten the garment to its original shape. Lay flat to dry completely. Never tumble dry or hang a sweater.
