For one sweater, 4-5 liters of water is recommended. Washing cashmere in too little water will damage the product. Add a gentle wool or cashmere detergent to the warm water, then place the sweater in the water for five minutes until it is soaked. Gently squeeze the cashmere in the soapy water. Do not wring or rub the cashmere when hand washing. Gently squeeze the cashmere without squeezing out the water. Rinse thoroughly but carefully with clean, lukewarm water. Since cashmere is very fluffy, it's easy to remove the matted balls with a special wool comb or a fabric shaver.
